Alura is Kandinsky: a yellow field crossed by black lines, with red and blue blocks, floating circles and the little checkerboard fragments he used as punctuation.

He wanted painting to work the way music does, and the scarf keeps that. There is no scene to read, only rhythm.

Printed on natural habotai silk, light and fluid, with the image running the whole length of the scarf. The ends are rolled and sewn by hand.

180 x 65 cm.

I know the review count is low, but trust me, this is a fantastic fan. I've had it for a few years now. It's beautiful, and you can appreciate the colors even more with the sunlight filtering through.
It's so nice to flip open and fidget with. The wood retains smells if you're the sort to hit it with a perfume or scent.

I broke a bit of the boning bc I sat on it while it was my back pocket, but I repaired it best I could. After all , how can I toss it? It's one of my most treasured possessions.
