Nur repeats eight-pointed stars in orange, bottle green and navy across a cream ground, and closes each end with a narrow band of tilework. The orange against the green is what carries it: from a distance the scarf reads warm, and up close it turns into fine geometry.

It is the loud one of the Alhambra habotai family. It holds its own against navy, grey or black, which is where the orange does the work.

Woven in natural habotai silk of 6 mommes. Habotai is light and fluid, with a soft sheen rather than a glossy one, and it stays cool against the skin when the weather turns warm. The ends are rolled and sewn by hand.

180 x 65 cm, designed in Spain.

I know the review count is low, but trust me, this is a fantastic fan. I've had it for a few years now. It's beautiful, and you can appreciate the colors even more with the sunlight filtering through.
It's so nice to flip open and fidget with. The wood retains smells if you're the sort to hit it with a perfume or scent.

I broke a bit of the boning bc I sat on it while it was my back pocket, but I repaired it best I could. After all , how can I toss it? It's one of my most treasured possessions.
