The word “shahada” actually means to testify or to bear witness. There are two parts to the shahada which when taken together is of called the Shahadatayn, meaning “two
testimonies”.
The meaning of this phrase is “There is no god but God, Muhammad is the messenger of God”.
This leather wall art piece is tooled, stamped and dyed by hand on natural tanned cowhide.
Thuluth script. The straight angular forms of Kufic were replaced in the new script by
curved and oblique lines. Various calligraphic styles evolved from Thuluth through slight
changes of form.
