Ayad covers the whole scarf in a dense lattice of eight-pointed stars and small rosettes in sky blue, olive green and cream, set over a deep navy ground. There is no border and no framing panel: the pattern runs from edge to edge, the way tilework does across a wall.

It is one of the quietest designs in our catalogue — the kind of scarf you reach for without thinking, on an ordinary morning.

Woven in natural habotai silk of 6 mommes. Habotai is light and fluid, with a soft sheen rather than a glossy one, and it stays cool against the skin when the weather turns warm. The ends are rolled and sewn by hand.

I know the review count is low, but trust me, this is a fantastic fan. I've had it for a few years now. It's beautiful, and you can appreciate the colors even more with the sunlight filtering through.
It's so nice to flip open and fidget with. The wood retains smells if you're the sort to hit it with a perfume or scent.

I broke a bit of the boning bc I sat on it while it was my back pocket, but I repaired it best I could. After all , how can I toss it? It's one of my most treasured possessions.
